Come hell or black water, the party town of South Padre Island, TX will be celebrating their second South Padre Seafood & Music Festival teams with the Rock the Riviera Redfish Tournament for a weekend of food, fun and fishing. Last year's inaugural event was a huge success and this year's festival promises to be even better.
The 2010 Festival Features:
* Two outdoor stages of continuous live music from Texas’ hottest acts.
* A large variety of delectable seafood and sides from the coastal region’s most esteemed seafood restaurants and vendors.
* Classic festival food fare including hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage on a stick, funnel cakes, turkey legs, fajitas, etc.
* An eclectic variety of coastal and Texas art presented by Texas artisans from near and far.
* A kids village, complete with a live music stage, games, and lots of activities designed specifically for the younger music aficionados. Games, rides, face painters, etc.
* Gibson Guitars presents "SPI School of Rock". Let your little ones jam on one of many guitars and drums and learn from the pros.
* Celebrity chef exhibitions.
* Family fishing tournament with cash prize brought to you by the Texas Saltwater Series and televised on Fox Sports.
* Contests and games.
* Side stage catered VIP areas. VIP fishing trips with artists. Air conditioned VIP lounges with air conditioned bathrooms.
* Beaches, swimming, and surf within walking distance.
* Peel and eat shrimp contest Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 6pm And Crab Races on Saturday at 1:30
