Camille Ford Visits N'Awlins for a Food War

This week the Travel Channel's hit new show Food Wars visits the Big Easy in search of the city's best shrimp po' boy.  Camille Ford will pit Parkway Bakery against Domilese's for a winner-take-all in a Third Coast battle royal.

According to Parkway's web site they are, "a New Orleans tradition located at the corner of Hagan and Toulouse overlooking Bayou St. John. Our restaurant is the New Orleans po-boy destination in a nostalgic setting. Enjoy dining at Parkway.  We take phone orders. Hope to see you soon!"

Brett Anderson of the Times-Picayune says of Domilese's, "Dot Domilise, the matron of New Orleans' quintessential po-boy operation, plies her trade in an open kitchen that's no bigger than an economy car and equipped like the bed of a serious tailgater's pickup, only with deep fryers.  Under the glare of customers who willingly wait in a long line to grab a number for the privilege of continuing to wait in line to order, Domilise performs a stoic ballet unique to this old corner barroom, slicing the super-fresh bread (Leidenheimer delivers twice a day) to hand-load with straight-from-the-fryer seafood, which at Domilise's is "dressed" with ketchup unless you specify otherwise."

Hostess Camille Ford has a sultry look and a sexy tomboy personality that makes you think she’d be fun to watch the game with.  And while Ford isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty she has a polished elegance that suggests her star is just beginning to shine.  Her dreamy eyes and strong cheek bones give her an exotic look reminiscent of raven haired starlets like Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox.  She is joined for this episode by New Orleans Saint Super Bowl hero Tracy Porter who sealed the game with his pick-six of the Colt's Peyton Manning.

The episode airs Wednesday September 15th at 10/9 CT on the Travel Channel.
