Third Coast Cuisine

The latest episode of Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives makes a stop on the Third Coast. Host Guy Fieri pays a visit to Cafe Pita + in Houston, TX. Cafe Pita + prepares comfort food with a Bosnian flair. They are known for their lepinja (a spongy bread similar to pita), exotic fried cheeses and spicy soujuk sausage.


According to Houston Chronicle food critic Alison Cook, “Café Pita + is a Houston treasure on the order of China Sichuan Cuisine, or chef Kaiser Lashkari's Himalaya, the spirited Pakistani spot.
