After a sad announcement last week from New Orleans' restaurateur Ralph Brennan that he is having to close BACCO, for a while at least, there is now some good news. Brennan's historic eatery Ralph's on the Park has walked away with a wheel barrel full of awards from the 2010 Times Picayune Reader's Poll. Check out this laundry list of recognition.

Best New Orleans Restaurant
Best Chef (Chef Chip Flanagan)
Best Brunch
Best for Special Occasions
Best Wine Selection
Not bad, earlier this year in the Times Picayune Bar Guide for 2010 Ralph's on the Park was credited with the Happiest Happy Hour in the city. That is quite a testament considering the city is New Orleans.
